Volleyball Recap: Shelby Comes Up Short

Shelby was the 3-1 winner over Pleasant when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Whippets lost 3-0 to the Spartans on Tuesday. The Whippets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-11, 25-11.

Madison Henkel paced Shelby's offense, picking up eight kills. Henkel got some help from Aubrey Lay and her 15 assists. Alex Lay controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Pleasant, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Shelby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Marion Harding on the 11th. As for Pleasant, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Highland on the 11th.
