Football Recap: Camas County Takes a Loss

Camas County lost against Mackay back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mushers had to suffer through a 48-8 loss at the hands of the Miners. The Mushers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-8.

Grayden Bruley went supernova For Mackay., rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Bruley was even better on defense, making 14 total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging two interceptions. Dax Teichert also helped with two scores in total.

Camas County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mackay, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Camas County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-14 defeat against Dietrich on the 12th. As for Mackay, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sho-Ban at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. This will be the Miners' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
