Basketball Game Preview: Starmount Rams vs. Mount Airy Granite Bears

Starmount hasn't had much luck against Mount Airy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Starmount Rams will face off against the Mount Airy Granite Bears at 7:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Starmount is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Saturday. They lost 72-47 to West Stokes.

Meanwhile, Mount Airy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 46-40 to South Stokes. The loss continues a trend for the Granite Bears in their matchups with the Sauras: they've now lost seven in a row.

Starmount's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mount Airy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Starmount suffered a grim 60-40 defeat to Mount Airy when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Starmount avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
