Basketball Recap: Eastside Falls Short Against Ranked Conrad Science

Eastside is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Conrad Science. The Eastside Tigers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 68-67 to the Conrad Science Red Wolves.

Eastside's loss came despite strong showings from Tyrone Washam and Bryce Hillman. Washam went 9 for 19 on his way to 25 points in addition to five assists and five boards, while Hillman went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those 25 points gave Washam a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abdourahmane Bah, who posted five points and three steals.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Conrad Science, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Eastside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-39 win against Shawnee on the 17th. As for Conrad Science, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-53 victory against Brandywine on the 17th.
