Basketball Game Preview: Wynford Royals vs. Ridgedale Rockets

The Wynford Royals will venture away from home to face off against the Ridgedale Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Wynford came up short against Carey and fell 54-45. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Ridgedale was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 44-43 to Elgin. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridgedale's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Wynford, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-5.

Everything came up roses for Wynford against Ridgedale when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 63-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wynford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
