The matchup between Willow Spring and Middle Creek on Monday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Storm were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Mustangs. The win was nothing new for the Storm as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Savannah Callis spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Willow Spring let Abigail Howard and Jaiden Baker run wild. Howard went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Baker went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Baker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kalea Winston, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

Willow Spring always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Middle Creek only posted an OBP of .367.

Willow Spring's record is now 10-1. As for Middle Creek, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Willow Spring will head out to challenge Green Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season. As for Middle Creek, they will host Felton Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are facing the Galaxy at the right time seeing as the Galaxy are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
