Hialeah Educational Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 70-61 victory over the Divine Savior Academy Sharks on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Biggie as they're now sitting on five straight.

Hialeah Educational Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tony Guerrero, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 13 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Guerrero is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josiah Brooks, who posted 18 points and eight boards.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joost West, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Watson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards.

Hialeah Educational Academy's record is now 17-7. As for Divine Savior Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Miami Country Day the next time they take the court. Hialeah Educational Academy will head out to face Miami Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Divine Savior Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
