Baseball Recap: Mulvane Falls Short Against Ranked Mcpherson

Mulvane faced McPherson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bullpups by a score of 3-2. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mulvane saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hays Ensley, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mulvane fell to 10-1. As for McPherson, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mulvane beat the Bullpups by a score of 6-0 later that day.
