Softball Preview: Bexley Lions vs. Bishop Ready Silver Knights
Bexley hasn't had much luck against Bishop Ready recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will square off against the Silver Knights at 5:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Bexley barely beat Franklin Heights the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Falcons on Wednesday. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Kyra Duffee and Claire Watts did most of the damage at the plate: Duffee scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2, while Watts scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Watts a new career-high in RBI (two). Kayla Duffee also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Rylan Taylor spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
