Basketball Recap: North Pole Comes Up Short

North Pole was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kotzebue Huskies. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in January of 2019.

North Pole's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Kotzebue, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record this season.

North Pole has already played their next matchup (against Homer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kotzebue will challenge Nome-Beltz at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nome-Beltz will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Kotzebue surely won't give up without a fight.
