It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Springboro can now relate to. They fell just short of the Olentangy Braves by a score of 2-1 on Sunday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Springboro got a good showing from Jacob Rhinehart, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rhinehart has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Springboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Cane, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Springboro's defeat dropped their record down to 27-10. As for Olentangy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.
