Baseball Game Preview: Enterprise Yellowjackets vs. Bogue Chitto Bobcats

The Enterprise Yellowjackets will venture away from home to face off against the Bogue Chitto Bobcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Enterprise came up short against Sacred Heart on Friday, falling 10-4.

Prewitt Falvey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ripken Powell, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Bogue Chitto lost 15-5 to St. Andrew's Episcopal on Friday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bogue Chitto saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tripp McCaffrey, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Bogue Chitto's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Enterprise, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-9.

Enterprise took their victory against Bogue Chitto when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enterprise since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
