Trico came tearing into Monday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Christopher Bearcats. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Trico easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20.

Whitney Lovel paced Trico's offense, picking up five kills. Lovel got some help from Molly Rathert and her 12 assists. Finally, Hazel Helmers kept Trico's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Trico's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Christopher, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Trico has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Vienna on the 30th. As for Christopher, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Goreville on the 1st.
