Basketball Recap: LEE Comes Up Short

LEE has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clark Cougars. If the Volunteers were looking for revenge after losing 62-54 to them when the teams met on Friday, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, LEE still got an impressive performance from Rosanelly Pastrano, who went 11 of 20 en route to 28 points and five rebounds. The match was Pastrano's 18th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of AUDREY VILLARREAL, who posted five points and five boards.

LEE's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Clark, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-10.

LEE will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brandeis at 11:30 a.m. on December 31st. Clark also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Churchill at 10:00 a.m. on December 31st. One thing working in Churchill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests.
