Violet Smith was a major factor in Utica's victory over Fraser on Thursday. Smith was dialed in as she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She played a big game the last time she faced Fraser back in May of 2024, so the team probably should've seen her coming.
