It's playoff time, and Spencer County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Johnson Central Golden Eagles on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 19 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Spencer County's eighth in a row) raised their record to 28-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Johnson Central, with the defeat, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Spencer County beat the Golden Eagles by a score of 12-2 on Saturday.
