Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Maclay Marauders

For the second straight game, Trinity Christian Academy will face off against Maclay. The Conquerors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Trinity Christian Academy 2.1, Maclay 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Trinity Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Maclay 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Conquerors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Aaron Watson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aiden Arnett, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Martinez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 24-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Maclay, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
