Summit Academy is 8-2 against Judge Memorial Catholic since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bears will take on the Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Summit Academy and Logan faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Bears fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 7-6. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trace Gedicks and Cooper Derbidge stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gedicks scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Derbidge went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Judge Memorial Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Morgan on Friday and fell 9-8. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Miles Augustine was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Those two earned runs gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Isaiah Ibarra made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Dominic Fassio was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Summit Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Judge Memorial Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Summit Academy came up short against Judge Memorial Catholic when the teams last played back in March, falling 7-4. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
