Football Game Preview: Shoals Christian Flame vs. Hackleburg Panthers + How To Watch

Shoals Christian hasn't had much luck against Hackleburg recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Flame will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Shoals Christian put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 48-26 margin over Cherokee. The Flame haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Hackleburg blew past Phillips, posting a 49-6 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 33 points or more this season.

A big part of Hackleburg's victory came down to the chemistry between Maddox Vickery and his top target Daughtry Gober. Vickery gained 9 total yards while Gober rushed for 44 yards and one TD. Vickery also punched in a rushing touchdown, marking his first of the season.

Hackleburg didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Phillips to a completion percentage of just 40.9%. The Panthers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 25%.

Shoals Christian's record now sits at 3-4. As for Hackleburg, their record is now 5-2.

Shoals Christian took a serious blow against Hackleburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 48-10. Can the Flame avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
