Basketball Game Preview: Mount Vernon Mustangs vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins

The Mount Vernon Mustangs will head out to face off against the Fellowship Christian Paladins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mount Vernon is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Paideia just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 55-48 to the Pythons.

Meanwhile, Fellowship Christian lost to Mount Pisgah Christian on the road by a 63-47 margin on Friday.

Mount Vernon's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9. As for Fellowship Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Mount Vernon was able to grind out a solid win over Fellowship Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2019, winning 80-72. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Vernon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
