Volleyball Recap: Clovis East Takes a Loss

Clovis East's tournament run continued when they took on Rosary Academy on Saturday. The Timberwolves fell 3-1 to the Royals. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Leading Rosary Academy to victory were Elizabeth Riebli and Kate Duarte. Riebli had 22 assists and two aces, while Duarte had 12 digs, seven kills, four aces, and one block. Duarte has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 12 times she's played.

Clovis East now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Rosary Academy, their win bumped their record up to 20-8.

Looking ahead, Clovis East will square off against Clovis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Timberwolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rosary Academy, they will challenge Laguna Beach at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
