Downingtown East faced Downingtown West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars fell 22-14 to the Whippets. The Cougars have struggled against the Whippets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Downingtown East's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Downingtown West, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

As of now, neither Downingtown East nor the Whippets have any future games scheduled.
