Cole Taylor was his usual excellent self, throwing for 406 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 308.5 passing yards per game.
Meanwhile, Liberty Hill got themselves on the board against Elgin on Friday, but Elgin never followed suit. They blew past the Wildcats 65-0. That looming 65-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.
Liberty Hill's win came from a few key players Pflugerville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Pierre Dylan Belinga, who rushed for 132 yards and three scores on only five carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and one TD. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run. Jack Travis Pitchford also helped out as he racked up 119 rushing yards.
Liberty Hill's run defense was locked in: Elgin could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Orrin Cole for the heroic effort on defense: he. Liberty Hill didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 15.9.
Liberty Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Avery Marklin, Kaden Cockburn, and Carson Neilson picked up one apiece. Marklin also made seven total tackles, which is notable because Liberty Hill is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. Cole was another major factor on D, making 14 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Pflugerville's record now sits at 5-1. As for Liberty Hill, their record is now 4-2.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Liberty Hill's Bryce Muchaw, who rushed for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry.
