Softball Recap: Ridgevue Takes a Loss

Ridgevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Meridian Warriors, falling 13-3. The Warhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Berkley Roath made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Kelsey Rose also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Meridian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Ridgevue will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kuna at 5:00 p.m. The Warhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Kavemen have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Meridian, they will square off against Owyhee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
