Basketball Game Preview: Harding University Rams vs. West Charlotte Lions

Harding University hasn't had much luck against West Charlotte recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Harding University Rams will head out on the road to challenge the West Charlotte Lions at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Harding University is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Mallard Creek on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Harding University was dealt a 75-23 defeat at the hands of Mallard Creek. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Mavericks are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, West Charlotte came up short against Hough on Tuesday, falling 65-42. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

West Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Harding University, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Harding University suffered a grim 52-29 defeat to West Charlotte in their previous meeting back in January. Can Harding University avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
