            Alexandria-Monroe is 8-2 against Blackford since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Bruins  at 7:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alexandria-Monroe has three straight  wins, Blackford has 14 straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Alexandria-Monroe and Madison-Grant, and Alexandria-Monroe kept the tradition alive. The Tigers took down the Argylls 49-30  on Friday. Things were looking grim for the Tigers in the first  quarter (they were down by 22) but they stormed back to get the  contest.

 Brady Gast was  his usual excellent self, throwing for 163 yards and three  touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also rushing for 80 yards and one  score on only seven carries. Alexandria-Monroe is undefeated when  Gast posts three or  more  passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. The Tigers also got a significant boost from  Clayton Martin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 100 yards.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alexandria-Monroe was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 238  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Meanwhile,  Blackford played a tough  game  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through  a    40-13 loss at the hands of Frankton. While the Bruins had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Eagles  13-0.
 Alexandria-Monroe will have to contain  Brady Bannister as he made an impact in Blackford's last game. He rushed for 210 yards and a pair of  TDs.
 Blackford's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
 Everything came up roses for Alexandria-Monroe against Blackford in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  40-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
