After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Ashe County finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the South Caldwell Spartans. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ashe County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Farmer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Ashe County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for South Caldwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Ashe County nor South Caldwell have any future games scheduled.
