Recap: Morning Star Academy Mustangs vs. Unity Christian Knights
The Morning Star Academy Mustangs can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 39-18 margin over Unity Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Morning Star Academy has posted since November 30, 2023.
Morning Star Academy found their leader in underclassman Violet Jewell, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Ammann, who scored seven points along with three blocks and two steals.
Unity Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maddy Wilbur, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds.
Morning Star Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Unity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Morning Star Academy will head out on the road to challenge Galesburg Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Unity Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Moline Christian at 5:00 p.m. East Moline Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
