Basketball Recap: South Lewis Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Frankfort-Schuyler, South Lewis was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Copenhagen Golden Knights, sneaking past 48-46. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 58-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

Copenhagen's loss came despite strong showings from Jacob Lawlee and Logan Jordal. Lawlee made all 6 shots he took to post 13 points and eight rebounds, while Jordal posted 16 points. Jordal is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

South Lewis' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Copenhagen, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Lewis and Sandy Creek will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played.
