Basketball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lamphere Rams. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 696th, while the Rams are ranked 342nd).

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Lamphere, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison has already played their next contest (against Southeastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lamphere has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Sterling Heights.
