Soccer Game Preview: Riverview Sarasota vs. North Port

The Riverview Sarasota Rams will challenge the North Port Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Riverview Sarasota is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering North Fort Myers just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Knights.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, North Port rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lightning an 8-0 shutout. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Riverview Sarasota's loss dropped their record down to 10-3-1. As for North Port, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

Riverview Sarasota took their victory against North Port in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverview Sarasota since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
