Basketball Recap: Calhan Beats the Colorado Springs School for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Calhan had won three straight games and Kenidee Stewart did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Calhan Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks 56-6 thanks in part to Stewart, who went 9-for-13 on her way to 18 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Fallyn Mallette, who posted six points along with six boards and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played.

Calhan pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points over those games. As for The Colorado Springs School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhan and Swink will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played. As for The Colorado Springs School, they will square off against Dolores Huerta Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
