Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Westside

Westside hadn't done well against Jonesboro recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Warriors skirted past the Hurricane 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three contests in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Macy Milner and Kirby Conrad, who picked up 16 kills apiece. They got some help from Mattyx Cureton and her 49 assists. Conrad was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Erynn Waleszonia and Olivia Than certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Waleszonia had 12 digs, while Than had 12 assists and five digs. Mckinzie Gordon also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Westside's win bumped their record up to 18-2-2. As for Jonesboro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8-1.

Westside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Trumann on the 7th. As for Jonesboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against North Little Rock on the 9th.
