Gulf Coast had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Canterbury Cougars on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Sharks have beaten the Cougars on their court since September 9, 2020.

Gulf Coast was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-20, 18-25, 25-18.

Adryel Solar paced Gulf Coast's offense, picking up 11 kills. Solar got some help from Vanessa Lange and her 33 assists.

Gulf Coast will challenge Seacrest Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canterbury, they will square off against Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
