Basketball Recap: Center Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Center had won three straight games and Tim Johnson did his part to make it four on Wednesday. The Center Roughriders snuck past the Hudson Hornets with a 56-51 victory thanks in part to Johnson, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points and three steals. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of JaKevin(Tiki) Robinson, who posted five points in addition to ten boards and three blocks. Those three blocks gave him a new career-high.

Center pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Hudson, they now have a losing record at 13-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center will welcome Madisonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hudson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bullard at 7:30 p.m. Bullard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Hudson likes a good challenge.
