Baseball Game Preview: West Wolfpack vs. Kimball Jaguars

West is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Kimball a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The West Wolfpack will host the Kimball Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

West fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Antioch on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 12-11.

Ryan Mendez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Angelo Diaz was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Kimball had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 win over El Capitan on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jaguars have posted since March 10th.

Kimball got a massive performance out of Aj Rodriguez, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two doubles. Those three hits gave Rodriguez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Pollack, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI.

Kimball always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive matchups.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Kimball, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
