Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is St. Andrew's Fifth in Last Six Outings

While St. Andrew didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Highlanders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. Andrew's has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. The defeat snapped Hill Country Christian School of Austin's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-6-1 record.

Looking ahead, St. Andrew's will be playing in front of their home fans against Texans Baseball Homeschool at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Texans Baseball Homeschool will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, they will head out to face off against Brazos Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
