Basketball Game Preview: Highland Trojans vs. Boone Grove Wolves

The Highland Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Boone Grove Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.

Highland is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were beaten by Hanover Central 68-38.

Despite the defeat, Highland had strong showings from Justin Pack, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points, and Cameron Katz, who posted seven points. The dominant performance also gave Katz a new career-high in assists (four).

Meanwhile, Boone Grove narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past North Judson-San Pierre 43-41. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by exactly two points.

The win made it two in a row for Boone Grove and bumps their season record up to 6-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two points across that stretch. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Highland didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Boone Grove when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
