San Ramon Valley picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Casa Grande Gauchos 3-1.

San Ramon Valley got a great performance from Lila McLeod as she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. McLeod has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mads Sekera, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

San Ramon Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Casa Grande, they moved to 9-4-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

San Ramon Valley and Casa Grande should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Wolves will take on College Park at 9:00 a.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (93 vs. 318). Meanwhile, Casa Grande (ranked 107th) will meet Sonoma Valley (ranked 741st) at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th.
