Softball Recap: Moriah Vikings vs. AuSable Valley Patriots
Moriah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-4 to the AuSable Valley Patriots. Moriah was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as AuSable Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For AuSable Valley's part, Annika LaMountain was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Stanley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Moriah's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for AuSable Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Moriah will head out on the road to face off against Saranac at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for AuSable Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Northeastern Clinton at 11:00 a.m.
