Preview: Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons vs. Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons
The Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Charlotte has three straight victories, Saint Stephen's Episcopal has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Charlotte didn't have too much trouble with Fort Myers on the road as they won 56-37.
It was another big night for Chris Cornish, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Cornish is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Jordan Attia was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Saint Stephen's Episcopal's 21-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Out-of-Door Academy on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Saint Stephen's Episcopal in their matchups with Out-of-Door Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Charlotte's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
