Recap: Northglenn Norsemen vs. Westminster Wolves
The Northglenn Norsemen suffered their closest loss since November 27, 2023 on Thursday. They fell just short of Westminster by a score of 46-43. Northglenn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Westminster apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Northglenn lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jose Jaimes, who scored 11 points. Jonathan Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Northglenn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Northglenn and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Westminster, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
Northglenn won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Prairie View at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Prairie View is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Westminster, they will head out on the road to challenge Eagle Ridge Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
