Volleyball Recap: Irondequoit Comes Up Short

If Irondequoit was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Canandaigua Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Brockport Blue Devils on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost three in a row.

Irondequoit's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Brockport, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Irondequoit is set to face off against their familiar foe Churchville-Chili at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brockport will square off against rival Monroe at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
