Football Recap: Livingston Takes a Loss

After soaring to 31 points the game before, Livingston was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 24-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grace Davis Spartans. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Livingston still got an impressive performance from Roberto Rivera, who rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Grace Davis was led to victory by Caleb Zaragoza and John Castro. Zaragoza threw for 175 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes, while Castro rushed for 61 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave Zaragoza a new career-high in rushing yards (30). Zane Gerbo was in the mix too, providing Grace Davis with one touchdown.

Livingston's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4. As for Grace Davis, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Livingston is taking a road trip to face off against Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Davis, they will be playing at home against Beyer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
