Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bear River walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Payson Lions a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.
Bear River got a great performance from Kate Wilson as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Wilson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Luci Roche was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Fry, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
