Softball Recap: Hilliard Comes Up Short

Hilliard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles. If the Red Flashes were looking for revenge after losing 14-5 to the Golden Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kierstin Northern made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Hilliard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Hilliard will challenge West Nassau at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games West Nassau has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, they will take on Mandarin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mandarin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
