Basketball Recap: Devaughn West's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Towson over Randallstown

Towson lost against Randallstown back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Towson Generals fell to the Randallstown Rams 63-58. While the Generals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 16-10 in the first quarter.

Several Generals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devaughn West, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals West has posted since back in February of 2024. Seven Wheeler was another key player, going 6 for 11 to rack up 12 points and six boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Towson and nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for Randallstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Towson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 88-40 win against Sparrows Point on the 10th. As for Randallstown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-64 defeat against Milford Mill Academy on the 10th.
