Cy-Fair had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 6-4 to make it six. They came out on top against the Tomas Gators by a score of 43-32. That 11 point margin sets a new team best for the Bobcats this season.

As for Tomas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Tomas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amazing Omolola almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Omolola is becoming a predictor of the Gators' success: when she posts at least eight boards the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when she doesn't). Odion Otoijaghale was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cy-Fair will be taking part in a tournament against Brook Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Guard have averaged an impressive 54.8 points per game this season. As for Tomas, they will head out to square off against Clear Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
