Softball Recap: De Pere Comes Up Short

If De Pere was riding high fresh off their 18-2 takedown of Menasha on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redbirds fell 10-6 to the Denmark Vikings on Friday. The Redbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Jaelyn Craig made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Bella Robinett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

De Pere's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Denmark, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

De Pere will face off against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denmark does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
