Preview: Drumright Tornadoes vs. Oilton Panthers
Drumright is 3-0 against Oilton since November of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The two teams will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Drumright will be looking to keep their 16-game home win streak alive.
Even though Hominy scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, Drumright still came out on top. Drumright walked away with a 69-61 win over Hominy.
Joseph Bray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Drumright's points. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Bolton, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Watonga scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, Oilton still came out on top. Oilton managed a 68-63 victory over Watonga. That's two games straight that Oilton has won by exactly five points.
Drumright's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Oilton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Drumright against Oilton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 83-45 victory. Will Drumright repeat their success, or does Oilton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
